VA Tech School Shootings, How is it possible?

How is it possible that a single gunman with only handguns can kill so many people? I think our society has taught us to be passive and we just sit back and watch things happen. How many times have you heard that if you are being robbed to just give the robber everything he wants?? Without question, the VT shootings are terrible and a huge tragedy. However, how can so many people just sit back and watch others get shot and killed? Couldn't people band together and bum rush this guy after the first couple of shots? This guy just spells trouble.

Violence in our society seems to become more prevalent all the time. Maybe we should start teaching our citizens to actively defend themselves.

Was Simon rolling his eyes at Chris' comment?

Apparently, on Idol last night, Simon rolled his eyes last night after Chris made a comment about the tragedy at Virginia Tech. The producers say that Simon's "roll" wasn't in response to Chris' "shout out".
